Halfway Point

Well, we finally did it...we hit the halfway point! It feels good to be able to say that, but crazy to think we have 20 more weeks to go! I know it will fly by, but I get more and more excited every day. We celebrated by going to Outback for a nice dinner Friday night and then we registered for baby stuff at Babies R Us and Target.

*Shocker Alert* I had absolutely the worst time registering at Babies R Us. Me, the shopaholic!! It could have been that I was just overwhelmed by the shear size of the store and all the stuff in it or the amount of people who were also registering ( No none told me not to go to Babies R US on a Saturday afternoon). It didn't matter that we had great advise from Jared's cousins (thank you Crystal, Christine & Jen!) and came armed with a list of items needed. I could not get out of that store fast enough. Now we're going back through our registries to sort through what we actually registered for!!

I had more fun when we registered at Target. For one thing it was WAY less crowded and secondly we already knew the type/brands to register for. So I'm happy to say I had fun today with that! Although, looking at our registries we have so much stuff on there...but we did register for a lot of teething/newborn toys and as many books as possible. I'm a huge fan of having a large kids library. My parents always read to use as kids and even as we got into middle school. One of the things I remember best is reading JR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy with my dad in jr. high.

All in all we had a wonderful weekend celebrating our baby! And I think the baby learned how to actually do a somersault in my belly...craziest feeling ever!! Next doctors appointment is Feb 5th...stay tuned for an update!
