29 weeks already??? What???? I can't believe we have 11 weeks (God willing) left until our little bean is here! We had a wonderful appt. with Dr. Fishburne today. The baby's heartbeat was as strong as ever and again the baby enjoyed making the nurse work to find his/her heartbeat. The nurse kept commenting on how active our little baby is. I told her she has no idea since the baby got me up at 4:30 this morning and wouldn't let me go back to sleep. Training for morning feedings maybe???!!!
Everything with both the baby and momma are on track. I'm measuring exactly where I should to be, have gained a total of 15 pounds and feel great! PTL!!! The doc still thinks I'll only gain about 10 more pounds total...which I'm totally fine with and he told me is "envious". The baby is about 2.5 pounds give or take and the fact that he/she is very active is very good. I also had to take the glucose test to check for gestational diabetes, a routine test. I'll only hear something if the test comes back too high.
After meeting with Dr. Fishburne, we met with our potential Pediatrician recommended by Dr. Fishburne. We LOVED her!! We had scheduled a "meet and greet" where Dr. Brockman showed us around the building and then took us into a room and answered any and all questions we had. She is extremely intelligent and gives a perspective of being a mother first and then obviously her professional opinion as well. We were extremely impressed by her and I think both Jared & I felt a connection with Dr. Brockman right away. We picked a pediatrician which just makes this all more real!
Now I start going to the doctor every two weeks until week 36 when I'll start going every week. Yikes, I'm starting to get nervous!!! But more and more excited as well...we, and so many others, have prayed and waited for this sweet baby for so long and we can't wait to introduce him/her to the world!
