Where to begin...

What a whirlwind of a trip. We flew home to Ohio last Monday night and came back to CLT yesterday. It felt like we were only in Ohio for two days! Crazy how fast time flies when you don't want it to!

First airplane ride

First off...Jayne flew on her first Airplane...and in first class no less! With Jared's status, we all got upgraded (one perk of his many nights away from us). And we were able to get into all the priority lanes for check in/baggage etc. Definitely helped out! Jayne did wonderfully on the plane...especially seeing as I didn't plan well and our flight was smack dab in between her feeding times so I screwed her schedule all up and held her off so she would take a bottle while we took off. Once we were seated, she started fussing and I was getting looks from fellow passengers like "lady you better quiet that baby down!". Its funny to me how people avoid you like the plague when they see you bring a baby on a plane. The whispers of "I hope I'm not seated next to THEM" and "Hope they gave that baby some Tylenol"...did not go unnoticed, but ignored! Needless to say once Jayne had her bottle she was a happy camper and slept most of the way there. My parents picked us and our seven pieces of luggage up in Detroit and away we went. The best part is that it was snowing when we arrived...love it!

First time playing with snow

The next few days were a whirlwind of grandparents loving on Jayne, a couples massage for Jared & I, trip to Mancy's Steak House with Jared's mom and cousins (yummy!!!), trip to the zoo to see the lights, shopping trips and family time. I was also able to meet up with a few of my girlfriends from high school. It was great to catch up with them. We were busy!! But we had such a great time.

Opening her very first present on Christmas Eve

Justin & Sarah (and baby H of course!!!) flew in on the 26th and we had only two days with them, unfortunately. Its always sad to have such a short overlap like that, especially when we don't know when we will see each other next. But we had fun catching up and even went and helped them register at Babies R Us one day. My parents also took all of us to a Japanese steak house while Jared's mom watched Jayne. We had so much fun...Our chef was very sarcastic when we could understand him ; )

Grandma & Grandpa with Jayne

Jared's favorite present...a helicopter from my dad. Justin & Jared loved flying these thing into everything

 Grandma Jeanee with Jayne

Jayne of course, is too young to understand Christmas or enjoy opening presents, so we enjoyed it for her! Although she LOVED playing with the ribbon and wrapping paper...go figure! And of course she was spoiled by all. It was a wonderful first Christmas with her. Jared and I both felt blessed by our miracle baby and pray for many, many more Christmases to come! It was very sad to leave my parents this time b/c we don't have any visits planned until June...we've seen them every month except September since Jayne was born. I definitely got a little teary eyed when we left (as did my mom, of course!!) I'm hoping Jayne & I can make it back in March or April for one of my parents spring breaks. June is just way too long to wait...

How cute are my boots...from Aunt Sarah & Uncle Justin

Thanks to all for a wonderful, magical, special Christmas. We love you!!!
