Whew, so my mom has already started bugging me for an update from our fun weekend in Ohio. (Sorry mom, it now takes me a few days to decompress, do laundry, etc. You know the drill!!)
We drove to Ohio (really West Virginia, but on the Ohio River) for the long weekend. And boy was it H.O.T! I mean the kind of sweating all day whether you are in the shade or not, but luckily we had the icy river to cool off in. Jared went in a few times and Jayne loved it (of course, thsi child is a FISH!) but it took some coaxing to get me in. But it felt so good and refreshing! We also bought Jayne a small kiddie pool to keep on the bank so she could play while we all sat around and watched her.
We spent the mornings & evenings relaxing by the fire pit and the days swinging on the tree swing and playing cards. It was such a fun weekend and Jared's mom, Aunts & Uncles took such great care of us as usual! Jayne took her first boat ride and loved it, even helping daddy drive for a little! We took our time leaving on Monday morning, its always tough to think about getting back into the grind and work, etc, but the weekend was a great time and mush needed break from reality!
