So our big news is that after about 55 days on the market...we sold our house! Yeah! This is a huge blessing and weight off our shoulders. We decided to start "looking" for house in April just to get a feel for what is out there and after looking at 20 older homes we ended up finding the house of our dreams in a new construction neighborhood as we were just driving by. So we are building again! We put a hold on a wooded lot right away and they gave us 120 days to sell our house before we would have to decide to let the lot go or not. So selling now is huge! Our new house should be completed by Christmas and the best part of all this is that after we close on this house in August we will be renting it back from the new owners until our house is completed. That means we do not have to move twice!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!
The new house is about twice the size of our current townhouse and has a very open floor plan. There is a formal dining room, formal living room (we will use it as an office), family room, huge kitchen & eating nook and full bed & bath downstairs. Three bedrooms, two baths, laundry room and huge bonus room upstairs. We are so excited and have already picked out everything from flooring to light fixtures (the fun part of building a house!) for the house so now we just wait until they start building which will take 4-6 months. The neighborhood is about 12 minutes south of our current house and in a different county with cheaper taxes, another praise =) And it has a huge 7 million dollar "resident center" with a movie theater, workout facility and three pools including a huge kiddie pool for Jayne. Next summer we will have lots of pool parties!
I'm just happy that we don't have to show the house anymore. It is harder than I thought to keep a super clean house daily with a one year old! And my parents wont have to worry about it when they are here watching Jayne while we are on our anniversary trip...three and a half weeks to go. Yippee!!!!!
Pictures to post later...got some cute ones of Jayne with her very first pony tail...sooo cute!
