Consignment Sales

I LOVE consignment sales. I love the search...the feeling when you find that one item that makes the whole trip worth it. I was randomly looking online for consignment sales the other day, knowing that most fall/winter sales are held between August & October. I saw one that was close by and started today. So I loaded up Jayne and away we went.

This one was huge, although as expected, many of the large items were either overpriced or in too yucky a condition. (I'm looking for another pack in play, high chair/booster seat and travel swing...so if anyone is getting rid of one between now and February, let me know!!!) But of course I HAD to look at the clothes too...even though Jayne doesn't really need too much thanks to my clothes fairy from Toledo (that would be my mom's friend Kendra who we have bought hand-me-downs from for the past few seasons!!!) But I did find the following which I am thrilled with! I usually only look for Gymboree & Gap brands since I refuse (okay, can't afford) paying full price.

Soft, fuzzy jacket, hat & mittens
Sweater dress!!
Gymboree outfit!

Second Gymboree outfit!
Super cute skirt (with boots and tights, ummm yes please!!)

Yup, Mary Jane crocs!!!

But the item that truly made the whole trip worth it was this...

I saw this at a garage sale last year but the lady still wanted around $10 bucks for it and I thought it was too much (retails for $20). So I walked away form it. I giggled to myself when I saw this today, for $4, and snatched it right up before anyone else grabbed it. Out of the hundreds of puzzles, this was the one I saw first. It was meant to be, and I love it!! "Melissa & Doug" puzzles are another thing I *refuse to buy* full price. I have been blessed to have found about four or five at garage sales, consignments sales and Once Upon A Child. I haven't paid over $4 for any of them!!! Jayne loves puzzles, or really loves carrying the pieces around. She doesn't "get" puzzles yet, but she will so I stock up while they are cheap!
