Hmmm, its been about a week since I last blogged so I'll catch you up on whats been going on.
Jayne-
Is talking up a storm. She loves to run around the house saying "momma, daddy, momma, daddy" which is still so cute. And whoever gets her after nap or in the morning, she always says the name of the other person. I think she actually misses us =) Jayne has been climbing on her bumper lately so I took it out to try and preserve it. Boy, was that not a good idea. The first time she slept in it was after her first football game when she didn't go down until 930pm so she was exhausted and didn't seem to notice. I thought that was a good sign. The next day she would not take a nap and then kept waking up on and off all night. I think it was a combination of the nightlight bothering her (the bumper blocked most of the light) and she likes to sleep right up against the bumper so with it gone she kept bumping her head on the rails. Needless to say, first thing this morning I put it back on! She took a great "normal for her" nap today so I hope we've crossed that hurdle! She looks so much like a "big girl" to me now. I glance over at her and no longer see my tiny baby...*sigh* so bitter sweet!
House-
Our house is completely dry-walled!!! It looks so much bigger now...which amazes em that the house "grows" as more stuff goes into it?? Anyways...we are so excited! They will tape & mud the walls this week and then begin putting in trim & cabinets then paint and so on. We still have a tentative close date of Nov. 15th (Jared's 30th bday is on the 14th so happy birthday to him...biggest present he'll ever get!!)
Me-
I'm definitely feeling bigger and having more stretching & "growing pains" lately. And my lovely friend heartburn is back in full force. I'm trying to watch what I eat and what triggers it. Friday night we went to the local hs football game (which was so fun for Jayne to go to. She loved watching all the people and action!) But right when we got there I started feeling the heartburn/reflux and on our way to the car at halftime I puked a few times. I always feel 100% normal after puking, but that's just never fun. I'm afraid to take anything over the counter b/c everything I took with Jayne made me throw up immediately, but our new insurance doesn't cover the one prescription that worked for me, so hopefully I can just figure out what makes me hurt and not eat it (I think its chocolate *tear*)
Other stuff-
We are gearing up for our big neighborhood garage sale this weekend so basically anything we aren't sure that has a place in the new house is going out as well as a bunch of big furniture pieces we are hoping to sell. I don't want to move anything that wont have a place in the new house! We bought our new couches this weekend, at Value City surprisingly. They were having a great sale and so we locked in the price by putting them on layaway. I love that we only had to pay a little up front and then we let them know one week before we want delivered and pay the rest. I was so worried we wouldn't have furniture for the holidays! And I think we have picked out our new paint colors for the new house. I say think b/c its so hard to choose colors form a tiny swatch, but they look pretty good and we've seen a couple of them in another house so we have a good feeling on them. I hate picking out paint. Grrr...and now I get to begin getting quotes for painters!! Its all starting to come together. So exciting! And Jayne & I fly up to Ohio in two weeks to spend time with the family. I can't wait and hope it will feel like fall up there!
Well gotta run...I'm babysitting my friends 6 week old so they can go have a date night. So excited to snuggle a tiny baby again!!
