Well, nurse #1 went home yesterday and nurse #2 flew in. I kinda like being taken care of, I admit it! I am so glad our moms came in to help...I definitely would not have been able to take care of Jayne and myself let alone house stuff! My nurses are taking such good care of us we don't want them to ever leave!
The first couple days were tough and I took my pain pills round the clock and rested whenever I could. I started feeling better and tried to wean off the pain pills. Today I haven't taken any and really don't feel like I need to, however I may have overdone it a little. It could have been all the walking, or the trying to lift Jayne a couple times, or the vacuuming I did, or the dinner I ate....but its now 2:15am and I am wide awake after throwing up for the past hour. Not fun. I felt like I was having another "attack"...like the one that we went to the ER for. Its scary b/c I know I don't have a gallbladder anymore so in my head I shouldn't have the same pain, but the nurses mentioned I may have "phantom" attacks as my body gets used to not working the way it used to. *Sigh*...one step forward, two steps back. I had surgery, however "textbook" it might have been, I am missing an organ and have four incisions on my belly...I need to take it easier than I have been I guess. Not to mention growing another little person....we go back to the surgeon for follow up on Wed.
Baby is kicking and moving around like crazy these days. Baby likes to go to the airport too. We made two runs for the grandmas within hours of each other and both times this little peanut woke up and danced all the way there and back =) I love feeling all the movement and letting other people feel it too (as long as they aren't random strangers touching my belly in the middle of Target!! Yes, its happened!) Anyways...I've got to try and get back to sleep. Praying for an easy day tomorrow for all and feeling better for me. I have some cute new picts of Jayne to post tomorrow and video. Cute story, my brother's bday was last week. He's the one supposed to be getting presents but instead he sent me a super awesome camera card for my new camera so I can take video since my card was either too small or old and wouldn't do it. Just because (or maybe just b/c they really want video of Jayne...hmmm, ulterior motives??!!) So we have a cute video to post as well!
