My mom bought Jayne bubbles and taught her how to blow them herself. She threw quite a tantrum when we wouldn't let her hold the bottle for fear of spilling it. We had to put a little in a cup for her!
We bought Jayne this little picnic table for outside. The top comes off for a water/sand play area. She spent a couple hours playing outside with it today!
The art easel I got at a recent consignments sale. She loves it!
Yesterday was Savannah's three week birthday. I can't believe she is three weeks already. Time flew by when Jayne was this little, but its going even faster now b/c of chasing Miss Jayne around too! There are so many things and moments I don't want to forget...
- like the fussy time from 7-10pm every night. Savannah just wants to be held and cuddled...then she'll eat around 10pm and go to sleep until about 2:30am.
- She is a great sleeper so far and is already sleeping in five hour chunks at night, although I still wake her to eat every three to three and a half hours during the day.
- We are still working on more awake time during the day, but she is just so sleepy!
- She has this tiny little mousy cry, but can get very loud if not fed right away!
- She smiles when I run my finger over her chin or rub her cheek while she's eating
- She nurses like a champ and always has milk dribbling down her face afterwards...and she goes into a "milk coma" and is so hard to wake up!
- She likes to have her legs swaddled but arms free, just like her big sister did
- She has started smiling at us when we make funny faces at her...I love watching the two-way interaction develop!
- She loves her sissy and will turn her head towards Jayne when she hears her voice
- We think she is going to have blue or hazel eyes
- She likes her pacifier. Jayne never really took to a paci and we don't really want Savannah to be a a pacifier baby, but she does seem to have a need for sucking at times!
- She has LOOONG eye lashes like her big sissy
- She has already outgrown her newborn sleepers. She is too long for them now!
