But in all seriousness...this post is more for remembering what has been going on ant not for complaining or venting. Really.
Jayne is at the stage where she is asserting her independence. Saying "no" constantly and doing the opposite of what we say. Oh she has her moments where she incredibly does what I ask the first time (or sometimes things before I can even ask, like sharing with her sister or offering a hug and "im sorry" for knocking Savannah down accidentally). I'm told it will get better an there is a light at the end of this tunnel. We are trying to teach her patience and compassion during this season.
Savannah is one...meaning she is learning new words and that she can do new things. Like climb on EVERYTHING! Although she doesn't say "no" yet, she shakes her head defiantly when she doesn't want something. Its actually kinda cute! She is cutting teeth and so has been very needy. I love holding my girl, but four hours straight of that can be pretty tough. Savannah throws the cutest little baby tanrums. She literally slams down on her bottom, looks up at us to see if we've noticed, when she sees we have, she then lays down on her back and screams. It is so hard not to bust out laughing when she does this! She is now saying momma, daddy, uh oh, night night, yes, bite, Jayne, baby, blankie, milk, cracker, woof woof, quack quack
Its all about giving and receiving grace over here these days. Grace for little ones in pain and unable to voice it. Grace for little ones unable to show their frustrations. Grace for mommy to let things go around here until we are out of this season. Laundry doesn't have to be done and frozen pizza is okay for dinner once in awhile. Not every day is bad, but every day its moments. I had to call Jared last week and beg him to come home early. I was just done.
Now here are some picts of my sweet (sometimes whiney/cranky) cutie pies picking strawberries the other day.
