Redecorating

I know I have a lot to catch up on...I've been slacking, but for good reason. I have to little princesses who keep me busy and on my toes ALL.DAY.LONG. But I wanted to share two things with ya'll...

First...my baby girl is going to be THREE this week. I have a three year old. How in the world did that happen? One of her *early* birthday presents was getting this duvet cover for her bed. Her room now looks like a true big girl room. No more random, miss matched blankets on her bed. I love it, she loves it...even daddy loves it!

I'm on a few Facebook "market" site in our area for buy/sell/trade and bought this, brand new, in package, from pottery barn no less...for cheap. This kind of stuff thrills me =) It came with two pillow cases and a sham. I didn't need all three...so I cut apart the sham to make some decorations for both girls rooms. We have decided, until they ask for it, to keep them in separate rooms. My dream is for them to share our big bonus room one day. But daddy doesn't want to force them, he wants it to be their choice and reluctantly, I do agree with him. So I'm beginning to really focus on making their individual rooms/decorations girly and fun to fit their likes and personalities.

Was a little worried how the duvet would look with her hot pink gingham curtains, but it looks great, just enough contrast!

Someone loves her new decorations...it doesn't look straight in the picts, but it is =) I got the two green/white fabric squares at a garage sale and took an old frame and covered it with a piece of the pillow sham then stapled it to the green/white frames. I then made some fabric rosettes out of miscellaneous fabric I had laying around.

Rosettes turned out good and were pretty easy/fun to make!

My second project has been my craft/playroom. This room has changed more times than I care to tell you. It just keeps evolving into what we need/want it to be and I think maybe we have found the final design.

I recently joined a crafting *Stamp Club*. I admit, its become an obsession. I love doing it and have been stocking up on stamps, ink, papers, etc. So we went to Ikea and got some shelves, boxes & bins and redsegined this room to be my crafting space as well as the kids play room. This weekend we decided to sell one of our large black desks and brought our newer one downstairs for my space (this also allowed us to turn the bonus room into strictly a play room/tv room for the kids). My desk downstairs now also has the computer on it.

The two tall shelves hold all my crafting supplies while the two smaller shelving units hold all the kids toys/books etc.

My bulletin board above my desk holds some of my crafts and ideas

One corner of the room is the kids art area. Jayne LOVES to do crafts with me. Her favorite thing is to glue pieces of paper, scraps, beads onto paper to make things.

I borrowed the "big shot" die cutting machine last week and Jayne figured out how to use it
and cut up scrap paper for an hour =)

The other corner is dress up

I feel like houses, no matter how long you've lived in them, are always a work in progress. I have so much fun changing things up and redecorating, but I think I'm done for awhile =)
