Today, she is three!

My dear, sweet, stubborn, crazy, loving girl...you are three today! I still can't wrap my head around that number. I remember the day you were born, your first cry, the first time you looked at me, smiled, laughed...every moment is etched in my heart. It doesn't feel like it's been three years. It feels like yesterday and yet here we are. You are an amazing child. Seriously, YOU amaze me every day. With the things you learn, the things that come out of your mouth and truth be told, the things that you throw fits about (like the color of your dinner plate. Which for the record MUST be pink!!) I learn more about your little *BIG* personality every day. You are the best of both your daddy and me and we love you more than you will ever know.

As we've neared three, we've had a rough go of things. You are a stubborn little thing (I have NO idea where you get that from...) and you know what you want, how you want it and when you want it. We've had a struggle of wills and you are teaching me to choose my battles. You want to wear the same, rainbow striped dress, four days in a row?? Go right ahead. But You will take a bath every day and eat more than just candy ;) I admit we have numerous time outs and spankings each day and its no fun for either of us. Trust me on that.

You are beautiful...inside and out. You already have such a loving, compassionate heart. If someone is crying you are always there with a little hand on their back asking if they are okay or running to me to make sure they are alright. I pray God will help me cultivate that in your heart as your grow. Its a wonderful trait to have. I love your crazy, beautiful brown curly hair. I'm jealous...you have the hair I've always wanted =) Your favorite thing these days is to have your hair in two braids...unfortunately it doesn't stay long, but you don't seem to mind. You love to also have your hair blowing free...drives me crazy watching you push it out of your eyes, but the fight to but a clip or pony tail in it, is just not worth it sometimes.

I love how you love your sister already and watch out for her. You love to run in and wake her up in the morning. You always say "Good Morning sissy, I love you". And she adores you. Her face lights up and she yells your name. She loves when you chase her around the house...not so much when you hug on her though! I pray you two will be best friends. Oh, I know you'll have knock down, drag out fights as you get older...its what siblings do, but when it comes down to it, you are each others best friend and support. I pray you never forget that.

You are so smart. You learned so much and grew so much during school this year. You can count and recognize numbers up to 10 and are beginning to recognize letters. Every time you see a "C" its for Calla, a "S' is for sissy and "T" is for Tucker (who was in your class this year). I'm really trying to help you learn letters. We make games out of everything but after a few letters you get bored and move on. I swear every day you learn something new. Its refreshing to see!

Above is THE rainbow dress she always wants to wear!!
