I've been feeling the baby "flutters" for a couple weeks now, but this week the movements have definitely gotten stronger. The doctor told us at our last appointment that Jared should be able to feel the baby move soon, but that he'd probably have to leave his hand on my belly for awhile b/c the movements are so fast. By the time I told him to feel something, the baby would stop.
Well the other night we rested his hand on my belly for a few minutes and I kept asking "did you feel that one??" every time I felt something and he couldn't. Then all of a sudden the baby gave a good kick (or elbow, not really sure) and Jared felt it. It was so amazing to finally be able to share that with Jared. I definitely understand why its hard for some fathers to feel connected to the pregnancy...they don't really do anything but supply food for cravings, give back rubs, etc. For him to be able to feel his baby kick was so amazing for me as a wife to watch. I won't forget the look he had on his face!
As I grow and the baby grows I am more and more amazed at the wonderful blessing the Lord is allowing me us to experience. Although I must admit, watching my belly expand is a little crazy!
