Nesting...otherwise known as planning. Something I
LOVE to do...and do well if I do say so myself! If I didn't think people would view me as crazy, I would have started "nesting" months ago, but now that we're past the halfway point I feel like its okay to do!!
We bought our nursery furniture last weekend and we're so excited for it to arrive. It should arrive this weekend or early next week...then Jared has the fun task of putting it together! Finally purchasing the furniture put my nesting instincts into overdrive thinking of all that needed to be done to the nursery before the furniture could be placed...shampooing the carpets, painting the walls, hanging pictures, etc. So I spent this weekend patching nail holes and touching up paint. This weekend while I'm in Atlanta Jared is going to work on the carpets and as you can see from the pictures below, we hung the pictures tonight!
Painting!!
I am very proud of these pictures. One of the joys of my job has been to learn
Photoshop over the years. I am no whiz by any means, but I am comfortable with the program. The bedding we chose for the baby is blue and green with elephants in different patterns. I wanted to tie everything together so I took pictures of the elephants from the crib bumper, knocked out the backgrounds and created art pieces to hang on the wall. I think they turned out pretty well!!

The middle picture will be of three different size elephants stacked on top of each other. I just haven't printed it yet!

Ephesians 3:17-19...the Life Verse we chose for our little bean
Rocking with the elephant theme (I've been banned from buying anything else for this baby!!)
My very last purchase. I found these at Target and just had to buy them. They matched perfectly with the nursery color scheme and came with ink so we can take the baby's foot and hand prints when he/she comes home. One says "Tiny Toes" and the other "Tiny Hands".
