Last night we had a wonderful night out...sans baby! Our friends from Life Group are getting married today (yes, Friday the 13th!!) so we had their rehearsal dinner last night. Jared is reading in the wedding and is an usher. After the rehearsal, which is at a beautiful botanical garden about 40 minutes form our house, we headed to Cramer Mtn. Country club for the rehearsal dinner. The food was fabulous and the "roasting & toasting" of these two was hilarious. We really got to see a different side of David & Lisa through the eyes of their family and lifelong friends. So neat!! Plus its always fun to relive your own wedding festivities. There is so much about ares that I don't remember, which is sad, but times like these bring flashbacks! We got home later than expected, around 10pm. But Jayne was wonderful for both babysitters (thanks Daisy & C/G!!).
We have to be at the gardens at 4pm today for a 6pm wedding and it was much too difficult to get a baby sitter to come early enough and most of our friends we have to baby-sit will be at the wedding, so sweet baby Jayne is coming with us. She has her party dress, hair bow and tiny shoes and is ready to parrrrtttyyyy!!!! Praying she'll behave well enough during the ceremony and then sleep through the reception...might be wishful thinking!!
Not only are D & L in our life group, but David & Jared also work together. So this wedding will be interesting since both Jared's church friends and work friends will be mingling...interested to see who he migrates too more!!! Wishing D & L the best...a life filled with love, happiness, passion and Christ.
