Look momma, bandaid on my boo boo!
Today we had our appt with the pediatric otho specialist to look at Jayne's wrist. It is definitely fractured, however it is a stable fracture which is good and should heal in about four weeks. They wanted to put a hard cast on her but since we are going to the beach next week, and the waterproof cast can only go in fresh water, we opted for a removable brace. The end result will be the same as long as we make sure Jayne wears the brace whenever she is awake. When we are with her and not doing anything crazy she can have it off, but definitely needs it when outside and playing with others etc. We got two so one can get wet/dirty and the other will hopefully stay clean and dry. We use tape around the laces to keep her from taking it off. She definitely picks at the tape and ended up taking the tape off during her nap. However when I got her up she asked for the tape to be put back on. I think she is beginning to like having the brace on!

Happy Cinco de Mayo...tonight I made enchiladas and this yummy salad...as Jared said, my how things have changed...couple years ago and we would have been in a bar celebrating. It is Jared's favorite "holiday" after all!
