Last night I was on my way home from work...prepared for an easy night. You know, cereal for dinner (easy clean up), quick shower and bed by 8pm. That changed however when Jared called me saying there was a free OAR concert downtown from 8-10pm and some of our friends were going. I like OAR, but not enough for a late night...however he wanted me to go and I didn't want Lisa to be the only girl. So off we went...Jared, me, Luis, David & Lisa.
We took the train uptown and headed to Speed Street (this is what the week is called leading up to the big Charlotte NASCAR race...concerts/activities every night, beer...you get the picture). Anyways I was not expecting such a huge turnout...it was PACKED...thousands of people! Mostly teenyboppers trying to get people to buy them beer, etc. We got there right as the concert started (after waiting in line for 15 minutes to use nasty Port-A-Potties, of course) and enjoyed a great, FREE, outdoor concert on a beautiful night.
As tired as I was and regardless of how miserable I was at the end of the night...I have to admit, I had fun. Today is another story as I'm running on about 4-5 hours of "interrupted" sleep thanks to Baby S...I'm one sleepy girl!!
