Misc. Update

It's 3am on day #6 and I'm waiting on my little girl to wake up for her next feeding. She actually went 4 hrs between feedings tonight!!! I am so proud of her...this is the longest we will let her go between feedings, but when she eats as well as she does and sleeps this well...I'll let her!

Jared's mom left to go back home yesterday and my parents went to Raleigh to visit my aunt & uncle for the weekend giving us a taste of what real life will be like when they go home sometime this week. I cried when they left...not sure why. I guess I was just a little overwhelmed at the thought of not having them around even though Jared & I are such a good team and so far the night has been wonderful. Jared took the 8-11pm "baby-watch" shift so I could sleep. We've found that by doing this I get at least 2.5 hrs in a row and feel pretty good the next day. He changes her and gets her ready for me by 11pm. I feed her and she goes right back down for 3-4 hours...hence my waiting for her now!

Getting checked out by Dr. Brockman

Hard to believe it, but I'm already 6 lbs away from my pre-pregnancy weight! My pre-preggo pants still don't fit though as all the weight has redistributed places!!! Oh well, I guess I'll have to go shopping...man I hate that ;)
Jayne is such a good, happy baby and we love her so much. Sometimes we just go in her nursery to stare at her sleeping. She looks so peaceful and randomly smiles/smirks in her sleep or while she's eating which is the most adorable thing. I am so in love!!

Oh, and I don't believe I've showed ya'll our redneck screened door... we needed a way to keep the cats out of the nursery since they love getting in the crib, etc so we installed a screen door on Jayne's door. It serves its purpose as you can see. The door came put together and we just had to paint it, attached it etc which was a huge undertaking. Since the screen was already in we couldn't paint the back side of the door...hopefully when Grandpa Jim comes to visit soon he and Jared can tackle this as their special project!!
Speaking of the cats...they have done so well with the baby coming home. Only thing that's weird is they've switched personalities. My baby kitty, Micha, who used to be on my lap or wherever I was has become skittish and disappears a lot under our bed and Mally, the introvert is now constantly around and loves standing "watch" wherever the baby is. She loves smelling her head when I'm nursing. Moser has also become a little more friendly and although runs away when the baby cries, he's curious about her!
