Slacker

I apologize...I find myself slacking in the Blogging world. I think about Blogging 10 times a day, but something always comes up or I decide that cuddling my sweet baby is more important. I know can you believe that??!!?? HA!

But in all seriousness, we've had a great week. I quit my job...Jayne is once again sleeping through the night...we've had wonderful times with friends...and spent quality time together as a family. What could be better?

Saturday we decided to make the trek to IKEA since we hadn't been there since it opened this summer. We just wanted to look around and see what it was all about. Well that turned into a buying trip as we decided to get rid of the 10 year old bedside tables we had for our room and buy real end tables. We've been slowly trying to change our bedroom furniture from natural wood to black. We LOVE the tables we ended up getting and Jared is actually on his way to IKEA to see about a new bed frame. I can't believe how cheap their stuff is, but the quality still seems pretty high, so we'll see what he comes back with! Jayne was a trooper when we were there since it took about 3 hours to make it through the store! We even ate lunch in their massive cafeteria. Jayne was in the stroller next to Jared and I looked over at her and she was staring at him with a huge smile on her face...just watching Daddy with adoring eyes. I told Jared to look at her and for the next 15 minutes she just smiled at him as he tickled and coo'd at her. It melted my heart! I think he's been struggling with how she sometimes only wants me...she'll be crying and he can't console her and then I'll pick her up and she immediately stops. She's done this with a few of my girlfriends too...she has a "mommy's girl" complex right now and its one I'm okay with...for now. I don't want her to be the type of child who won't go to anyone else without crying. But for now I'll enjoy the extra cuddle time with her and honestly...it makes me feel good that she wants me!
