Diapers

Okay...so I knew we'd go through a lot of diapers. But I NEVER imagined going through as many as we have already. We bought 4 large boxes since we came home from the hospital...in only two weeks. I don't think we budgeted the correct amount for diapers in our monthly budget...which is extremely scary seeing how tight our budget already is!!! Diapers are expensive. One of my dear mommy friends told me a trick...buy cheap, store brand diapers for day time and then use the expensive diapers for nights since they tend to be more absorbent. Which is a great thing, except they don't make store brand newborn diapers and b/c Jayne is so tiny she'll probably be in newborn diapers for a couple more months. Yikes...I see this adding up to a scary number!!!

I'm sure we can chalk some of the diaper usage up to our inexperience changing diapers...but this girl can go like nobody's business. And she does this trick where she goes poop just a little (although it sounds like she had a major blowout)...we change her and 5-10 minutes later she has a massive blow out. And of course she doesn't do it every time and we don't want her sitting in any kind of dirty diaper...so we change her. and then change her again when she goes 5 minutes later. And she's already pee'd & pooped on both of us a few times. Oh, the joys =)
